One of the world of music's most respected troubadours, his work has often bordered on the edge of genius, but he has for too long, been an artist on the outside looking in, despite having a reputation second to none amongst his peers. Tim is best known for the awesome "Morning Dew" one of the great anthems of the 60's which was recorded by many including the Grateful Dead. There are other great songs from Tim such as "Come Away Melinda" and of course, "Hey Joe" immortalised by Jimi Hendrix. His powerful, gravel caked vocals, coupled with his great song writing ability has ensured his cult status which has strengthened over the years. However, Tim Rose is now ready to reach a wider audience and take the plaudits that his phenomenal talents deserve. American Son is finest album that Tim has
ever made! Containing ten songs, nine of which are Tim Rose originals, the CD is
a reflection of his life and experiences through "Where Did The Good
Times Go" and "Aging Soldier", whilst he
recognises a world that has recently entered a new era with "Tiger In
Cages". Man's cynical approach to money is covered in "Because
You're Rich" and the title track "American Son"
is set to become a classic dealing with theme's of love, peace and hope. American Son is due on general release in the shops from the 11th February 2002, distributed in the UK by Proper, in Germany by EFA, in Benelux by Bertus and the rest of the world by Voiceprint.
