Welcome
reissue for The Shadow Knows, the album Roger recorded
following his huge German hit single Shadow On The Wall. The
album released in May 1985, was an attempt to record a rock album with the
same feel as the single.
Songs
such as How, How, How (the follow up single to Shadow On
The Wall) and Ready to Roll literally jump out of the
speakers and reflected Roger’s writing and recording relationship with
guitarist Geoff Whitehorn.
The
other players were Roger’s touring band at the time, Brian Johnson
(keys), Tony Stevens (bass), Nick Pentelow (sax), with John
Lingwood and Sam Kelly on drums.
By
way of bonus tracks this CD also
features the EP Live In Berlin, recorded at the time of The
Shadow Knows, with the same band, but in fact released some years
later (1989) to coincide with the falling of the Berlin Wall. The live
four track EP features live versions of Shadow On The Wall
and How How How.
The
CD also includes extensive liner notes.
