This is the Otis Grand page with the long excellent CD,  LIVE ANTHOLOGY.  At the bottom of the page there are some tributes to Otis and gig dates will also appear here.   This album shows Otis in his best light with the live gig vibe drawn from a decade of outstanding performances throughout the UK and Europe. Indeed Otis won the award of Best UK Blues Guitarist 1990 to 1996.  Otis reinvented the Big Blues Band sound and as this album shows, he has kept innovating with a mixture of superb songs, virtuoso arrangements and performances. This is all wonderfully topped off by his unique stinging style which remains true to the REAL blues feel of the old masters themselves.   Thirteen exquisite tracks which feature the likes of Brother Roy Oakley, Curtis Salgado, Steve Diamond and a host of other classy blues performers.  Without doubt, LIVE ANTHOLOGY is the ultimate testament to one of Europe's best loved bluesmen and a must in every blues fans collection.

Perhaps BB King summed up the skill and finesse of Otis Grand best when he said :

"You play like I used to when I was young."

Also the Legendary Sam Myers referred to Otis Grand's guitar style when he said in August , 1997 :

"Man, when I hear Otis' guitar , it takes me back to the good old days."

And perhaps the fact that he has edged out, among others, Eric Clapton, for the distinction of UK Blues Guitarist of the Year for 7 years running, one might be inclined to say that Otis Grand KNOWS how to play the blues.

Otis Grand has been influenced only by some of the best that blues has to offer-vintage BB King , Otis Rush,  Albert Collins, T-Bone Walker and Magic Sam to name a few.
